Frequently asked questions about flamenco classes

 Outfit:

  • Initially, you are recommended to wear track-pants or any other stretchy, convenient pants (not denim).
  • Ladies will need a floor-length skirt after approximately 2 months of classes.

Shoes:

  • Shoes should have a strong, stable heel (4-5 cm) and a covered round toe and strap (no stiletto-heels).

  • Later, you will have to buy special flamenco shoes. Your teachers will give recommendations regadring this matter and help you choose the right model.

Rehydration!

Please note, that you will need a bottle of water (preferably)  with you in the class as you will need adequate rehydration especially in summer.

Restrictions:

No age restrictions.  We highly recommend consulting with your GP regarding any related health issues before you start classes.

Learning materials:

Your teacher will provide you with all necessary audio and video files (music, solo rythm, video records), which could be copied to your CD, USB-drive or sent via e-mail.

How much time will it take me to learn how to dance?

There are no clear timelines as any dance is a creative process and personal progress varies signifficantly depending on your persistence well as willingness and need for dance.
